What did we learn in Week 1. There are the obvious observations like the New England Patriots may be back to the Super Bowl.Tom Brady  seemed upset and once to 

throw for 4 touchdowns a game. A safe bet is that the Patriots will be in the AFC Championship game. The Titans have their quarterback, Marcus Mariota in his Rookie debut also threw for 4 touchdowns. There was a lot of injures in week 1. Injures are part of the game I know but it is hard to swallow that after the season opener, changes have to have be made. There are 15 more games left and if your team was one of the teams that really did not look good, then they can improve. If your team was one that did look good or even exceeded your expectation, then hopefully they can maintain the momentum going into week 2.

Charles Woodson diagnosed with dislocated shoulder

The Oakland Raiders could be without both starting safeties this week.

Eight-time Pro Bowler Charles Woodson suffered a dislocated shoulder in Sunday's loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported, via people who have spoken with the player.

Woodson is campaigning against missing game action, per Rapoport, but the 18-year veteran might be overruled by the coaches and medical staff.

Oakland also lost safety Nate Allen for several weeks due to a torn MCL, Rapoport reported Monday, per a source informed of the results. Full Article

49ers stifle Vikings in Jim Tomsula's debut

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Carlos Hyde wanted to outplay the better-known No. 28 on the field, Adrian Peterson.

He did that and more, and Jim Tomsula's San Francisco 49ersproduced a victory in his debut as head coach minus the interim status he had for the final game of 2010.

Hyde carried the offense with 168 yards on the ground and touchdown runs of 17 and 10 yards in his first career start, spinning away from a defender and diving into the end zone untouched on a rare nice play in a first half full of ugly ones to lead the Niners past the Minnesota Vikings 20-3 on Monday night.

The new starter in place of departed franchise rushing leader Frank Gore, Hyde's yards were the most by a 49ers running back since Gore's 207 in Week 2 of 2009 against Seattle.

So what did we learn from week 1? You could take a lot from it. The injurers like Dez Bryant. The Surprise would be the Titans with their Rookie Quarterback and I would say the San Francisco 49ers showing that they will be a force in the NFL this year. The Raiders really didn't look like they were ready. They need to go back to the drawing board and figure it out. The Patriots, well they are the Patriots. Oh and don't forget about St. Louis Rams who beat the Defending NFC Champions.
