NFL Power Rankings | Nasser Erakat

With every week teams in the NFL either climb up the Rankings or drop down. As a Raiders fan I never looked at this because they were always between 30-32 and that was understandable. 2015 is a different team. The Raiders are number 16 on this list,

NFL Power Rankings | Nasser Erakat16, wow, I have never seen them that high since there Super Bowl run and the Gruden years. I think things are changing but I still think the Raiders will go 6-10 and that is a great season. You can build on that. I still don't understand how some teams on the list that are 1-2 are still high on the power rankings, who determines where they are placed. I know this is only an opinion of a writer. I guess I can not get to worked up about it.

NFL Power Rankings, Week 4: Falcons continue rise, Steelers fall

If any team can beat Green Bay in Green Bay, please step forward ...
Week 4 Power Rankings are here, and there is no movement at NFL Power Rankings | Nasserthe very top. Why? Because Aaron Rodgers keeps Meryl Streeping his peers.
We should state that the top five remains fully intact, a rare occurrence in the Power Rankings. The real movement starts in the six hole, once the residence of the Chiefs. One of the surprise outfits in the NFL -- and Week 3 -- lives there now, led by a quarterback who technically has a Super Bowl ring (even though he only threw 29 passes during said title campaign).
As for your favorite team, take a gander below. Per the usual, your take on such subjects are always appreciated: @HarrisonNFL is the place.
Let the dissension commence!

3-0 PACKERS

The Packers continue to roll, making the football masses wonder if anyone can beat them in Lambeau. One potential way to accomplish that: running right at them, a la Dallas in last year's playoffs. Then have a receiver catch the ball through the catch -- or something like that ... Otherwise, no one has a shot. In 30 years of watching football (and understanding it -- not counting when I was 5 years old), not sure I've ever seen a quarterback play at Aaron Rodgers' level for this long a stretch. Only Joe Montana in the postseason can match this kind of run.
RANK

3-0 PATRIOTS

New England made a serious claim for the No. 1 spot Sunday. Everybody's getting into the act:Danny Amendola, Dion Lewis and what is apparently a really ticked-off Tom Brady. The Jags were never in it, truthfully. Even the one defensive play they seemingly made -- Davon House's pick of Tom Brady in the third quarter -- was called back courtesy of James Sample's mugging of Gronk in the end zone. That was about the only mugging Jacksonville did all day.
Gosh, how pleasant Sunday mornings must be in New England these days ... I'll take the clam chowder and a side of 119 points in three games, please. Full Article

What do you think of the list? Is it fair or does the writer not know what he is talking about. Again this is only a list but I can say that the top five teams, as NFL Power Rankings | Nasser Erakatlong as they keep playing like they do, they will be in the playoffs. I think the Falcons should be higher but that's my opinion. I guess we have to wait until week 4, which starts Thursday night between Ravens and Steelers. Wells Ravens fans you will get your first win of the season since Big Ben is out. The Ravens were facing 0-4 if Big Ben was playing but now they can relax and get their first win. The Titans and Patriots  both have byes this week. So if you are a Patriots fans you have to wait until next week. Thanks for reading.

NFL Week 3 is in the Books | Nasser Erakat

After watching week three are we getting a feel for which teams will be in the playoff hunt. The Patriots, Bengals, Broncos, Packers, Panthers, Falcons and Cardinals are all 3-0, will these be the top teams in the NFL? We know that the Patriots can

NFL Week 3 is in the Books | Nasser Erakatscore at will and they put up 51 points on Sunday. The Falcons can be down going into the 4th quarter and still win the game. The Cardinals look to own the NFC West this year. I think to me one of the biggest surprises this year is the Raiders. After getting blown out in week 1 and yes Derek Carr left the game in the 2nd quarter. The Raiders have been able to put points on the board. The Raiders were facing a lot of odds against them in Week 3. First they needed to travel to the Eastern Time Zone, where they have not won in three years. Second they need to play a against a team that they have not beat at home since 1985. Third they had to try to win back to back games. That is asking a lot of this team. They overcame all that and another surprise happened. The Raiders had a quarterback go over 300 yards passing, a running back go over 100 yards rushing and a receiver go over 100 yards receiving. When was the last time that happened.

Murray, Cooper carve up Browns defense in Raiders win

CLEVELAND –- Raiders churned out 469 yards of offense in Sunday’s 27-20 victory over the Cleveland Browns. Amari Cooper and Latavius Murray accounted for more than half that.
Sixty percent, to be precise.
That’s a huge sum for a pair of young players still learning Murray, Cooper carve up Browns defense in Raiders wintheir craft, and a sign that the Raiders offense can be dangerous when it gets going.
Cooper got the Raiders off to a roaring start, exceeding 100 yards in the first half alone. He ended up with eight catches for 134 yards despite being shadowed by elite Browns cornerback Joe Haden. Full Article

Are the Bears just going to forfeit the season? They just traded one of their best players Jared Allen, even though he is getting up there in age. Is it too early to start to get excited about your team. Raiders fans have a lot to be happy about, when was the NFL Week 3 is in the Books | Nasser Erakatlast time they were above 500? I know it is early so why are some teams in panic mode. Are the 49ers and Raven both in trouble. What about the Steelers, they lost their starting quarterback for 4-6 weeks. The NFL is strange this year but we know for sure that the Patriots will make the playoffs and if they win it all some cheating scandal will arise. Well Week 4 is almost here, lets see which teams maintain the winning and which teams start or continue to lose.

Bishops who covered up are guilty | Nasser Erakat

This is a touchy topic but I'm glad to see that Pope Francis said that Bishops who covered up are guilty | Nasser Erakat. It is about time. This is one topic I never

Bishops who covered up are guilty | Nasser Erakatunderstood, why was it OK that the church would cover up abuse of children. This abuse has been going on and will keep going on in the Catholic church until someone puts a stop to it. How many children have been abused and how many priests are serving time for it. Once a priests has been found guilty he is shipped away and not to prison. These children go to a place of worship and are suppose to feel safe. They are not, most of them are abused. This is not new information, example In just one Australian state, Victoria, it is estimated between 600 and 10,000 children were abused since the 1930s. This is only one state imagine around the world. What gets me is that it seems that this is ok, for example a Muslim commits a crime and it's all Muslims. A Priests commits a crime and it is covered up and nothing happens to that Priest. I'm am glad that the new Pope is not going to take this subject lightly.

Pope: Bishops who covered up for abuse guilty of wrongdoing

ABOARD THE PAPAL PLANE (AP) — Pope Francis has defended his words of consolation to U.S. bishops over the priest sex abuse scandal but says — for the first time — that those who covered up for abusers are guilty of wrongdoing.
In a wide-ranging press conference en route to Rome from his first-ever Bishops who covered up for abuse are guilty | Nasser Erakatvisit to the United States, Francis also declared conscientious objection a "human right," explained his admiration for American nuns and discussed his own star power, which was fully on display during his six-day, three-city tour.
He also invented a new Italian word to describe the exuberant reception he received in New York City: "stralimitata" — roughly, "beyond all limits."
On his last day in the U.S., Francis on Sunday met with five survivors of sexual abuse and issued a warning to bishops that they would be held accountable if they failed to protect their flocks. Full Article

Hopefully these innocent children who go to church don't have to worry about these sick individuals. These children should be able to go to a place of worship and be safe. Roman Catholics are taught from early childhood to respect priests and to believe what priests tell them about God and religion.  Paedophile priests can easily abuse this position. For example, Alexander Bede Walsh was convicted of serious Bishops who covered up are guilty | Nasser Erakatsex assaults against boys.  One child abuse victim said Walsh gave him alcohol, told him drinking it would get him to heaven; another believed abuse was the hand of god touching him. This is sad and sick imagine a priest telling a child that drinking or doing something wrong is OK this will have you go to  heaven. Good job Pope Francis for standing up and noticing that there is something wrong that is going on. Hopefully you follow through with what you say. Well sorry for going so serious this morning. Take care.

NFL players holding out | Nasser Erakat

This subject always upsets me. How a player who originally agreed on his contract then after a season or two wants it changed. These athletes get paid millions

NFL players holding out | Nasser Erakatof dollars to play a game. I understand that football is a dangerous sport and the contracts are not guaranteed. Most of these players only know football and try to get the most they can. I cannot fault that. I just don't like the fact that after a player gets a good contract, they want to break it or they will not play. What is up with that. It happens so much in sports and sometimes players who hold out as a rookie never play more then 3 years. Those players will not last long and only played for the money. There is a lot of money involved and if you are a super star athlete. I will always remember when the Oakland Raiders drafted J. Russell with their number one pick. Biggest mistake ever, once he held out I knew he would not ever turn into anything. I didn't like the pick any ways, the number two pick was Calvin Johnson. Do you think the Raiders would love to re-do that draft. I really can't stand NLF players holding out | Nasser Erakat.

Richard Sherman had a great explanation for why Kam Chancellor is so important to the Seahawks defense

Kam Chancellor is back. After missing all of the preseason and the first two weeks of the regular season, Chancellor ended his holdout on  NFL players holding out | Nasser ErakatWednesday and will play in the Seahawks' Week 3 game against the Bears.
The holdout was a costly one for Chancellor. He lost more than $530,000 in salary from the two missed games and the Seahawks may still hold him responsible for more than $2 million in fines. There is also Chancellor's relationship with some of his teammates, as some of them seemed to sour on the holdout after the team started 0-2.
But now that Chancellor is back, it is huge for the Seahawks' defense.
Chancellor has a well-earned reputation for his big hits as part of the "Legion of Boom" secondary and prior to the Super Bowl, teammate Richard Sherman had an entertaining explanation for why the player they call "Boom Boom" is so important. Chancellor is a safety, but at 6-foot-3, 232 pounds, he is built more like a linebacker. Sherman highlights that size, and the ferocity that comes with it, to the difference between a wild dog and a lion. Full Article

I get it, make as much money as you can. Not everyone can professional sports. If you have the ability to play for more then 5 years you are an good player. Only a few players can player in the 10-14 years range. Those players are great and NFL players holding out | Nasser Erakatmight be in the hall of fame, if they can still play during those years. I guess when your a fan working a job and just making it through life, then you hear of players holding out, it gets you mad. I bet once they get their new contract, in a few years they want another one. It takes a athlete with heart to say that they will end their hold out and wait until the season is over. Kam Chancellor did that who plays for Seattle Seahawks.  Well thanks for taking the time to read this, hope you enjoyed it.

Are these Oakland Raiders different | Nasser Erakat

For the past 13 seasons the Oakland Raiders have been irrelevant. After week 1 losing to the Bengals 33-13 it seemed that this was just another season. With all the

Are these Oakland Raiders different | Nasser Erakhype around this team in the off season. The hypes was not that big either. How would the Raiders respond in week 2. They had to play the Ravens who they have only beat once in the last 9 meetings. How can this young team play with this Super Bowl winning coach. Would it be different? I was at the game and didn't really know what to expect. I thought the Raiders would lose and lose bad. Why would I think any different from years past. The Raiders get the ball first and after a few plays, Arami Cooper gets behind the Defender and Carr throws the ball, the catch is made and Arami scores a 68 yard touchdown. The stadium goes crazy. For the most part it was kind of a back and forth. The Raiders lead for most of the game. Then Derek Carr finds Michael Crabtree for a 29 yard touchdown and to go up by 10. The Raiders are up by 10 in the 3rd quarter with 2:12 left. Then it seemed that the Raiders would lose. The Ravens would score 7 and 3 and get the score to 30-30 in the 4th quarter. The Raiders are driving and then a big mistake happened. Derek Carr throws a interception. The Ravens get the ball and drive down and get a field goal and make the score 33-30. It was a fun game and I was happy that the Raiders were still in the game in the 4th quarter. Then Derek Carr drives the Raiders down field and scores a touchdown to Seth Roberts with 26 seconds left. The next series Joe Flaco throws a interception.  I thought to my self, what just happened. The Raiders just won a game that they never win. Are these Oakland Raiders different | Nasser Erakat.

Two games into his NFL career, Roberts has a game-winning play of his own to match Malcolm Butler's interception in the Super Bowl for Are these Oakland Raiders different | Nasser ErakatNew England - even if it did come on a much smaller stage.
Roberts caught the go-ahead touchdown pass from Derek Carr with 26 seconds remaining last Sunday to give the Oakland Raiders their first win of the season, 37-33 over the Baltimore Ravens.
That one play turned Roberts from a mostly anonymous former practice squader into an NFL contributor. Full Article

I know it is early we are only in week 3 but a game like that can change a franchise around. A game winning drive against a power house like the Ravens. Lets not get ahead of ourselves either. The Raiders have to go win a road game which they Are these Oakland Raiders different | Nasser Erakathave not done in over two years. If they can win on the road then maybe things are truly different. They need to follow the Ravens win with a road win this week in week 3. Or the win against the Ravens means nothing. Can the Raiders do it, well they have the talent but the defense cannot give up 33 points again. That is two weeks in a row that the defense allows 33 points. After week three we can see. The debate iPhone vs Android | Nasser Erakat

First I will start off by telling you that I am a Android, PC guy. Don't get me wrong Apple is nice and shiny. I use to own a iPhone 5 and had multiple Android devices. My latest one is the Samsung Galaxy S 5 and I love it. I work with PCs and I like the fact

The debate iPhone vs Android | Nasser Erakat that I can add and remove parts to any PC computer. For Apple you need to be certified and OK maybe that is good. I also like the fact that android does not rely on on a program to grab files, pictures and music, aka iTunes. Most of my family have Apple products but not me, I am a PC and android guy. With Android you have more customization then Apple. Again this is my opinion. People tell me that iPhone is easier to use then Android, and that is some what true. A iPhone is like a device for beginners and a Android is for more of a novice user.  It may have changed but that is how I feel about the two devices.

Android vs. iOS: Mobile OS wars are basically over, suggests new study of smartphone switchers

Just over eight years after the smartphone revolution kicked off with the iPhone introduction, the war for which operating system you’ll use seems to be dying down.
About 80 percent of Android and iOS users stuck with their The debate iPhone vs Android | Nasser Erakatrespective platforms when upgrading to a new phone, research from CIRP published today found. And that rate has held steady for the past two years, with Android gaining slightly on Apple’s mobile OS.
“Conventional wisdom says the Apple ‘ecosystem’ promotes loyalty, while Android readily gives up users to iOS,” CIRP’s Josh Lowitz said in a press release. “Our analysis has a more nuanced view on operating system selection, and indicates Android user loyalty has caught up and even exceeds that of iOS.”

Over the past two years, Android has retained 82 percent of users according to the study, while Apple has retained 78 percent of users. Less than 20 percent of Windows users stuck with a Windows-powered phone, while Blackberry retained just 4 percent of users.
As for where new users came from, almost all movement was between iOS and Android. About 16 percent of all Android users who bought a new phone in the past two years came from iOS while 20 percent of all iOS users had previously used an Android device. Full Article

Are Selfies really necessary | Nasser Erakat

These days if you are walking or driving you will probably see that famous Selfie pose. There is a definition for it too, "a photograph that one has taken of oneself, typically one taken with a smartphone or webcam and shared via social media."

You know selfies are getting out of hand when selfies kill more people then sharks, yup you heard me.

So Sad, So Dumb. Selfies Kill More People Than Sharks

The selfie nabs one more victim. A Japanese tourist has died after attempting to take a self-portrait at the Taj Mahal’s Royal Gate. The 66-year-old man fell down the stairs and suffered head injuries, losing consciousness and Are Selfies really necessary |Nasser Erakatleading to his death. One of his friends also fractured a leg in the fall.
It’s a sad story, and what’s even sadder is that it’s not the only one. As if you needed additional proof that people need to be much more aware of their surroundings and much less focused on themselves: In May of this year, a 21-year-old accidentally shot herself while posing with a gun in Moscow (she lived); and in August, a man was gored while attempting to snap himself during a bull running in Spain (he died).
It’s gotten so bad in Russia, where kids have been electrocuted while trying to take selfies on top of train cars, the government has launched a public-service campaign to warn young people about locations where it might not be so smart to take a photo (including on top of houses, next to oncoming trains, and in the company of wild animals). Full Article

NFL Week 2 is in the Books | Nasser Erakat

We really still can not tell which teams will be making the playoffs. There are some things that we do. The New England Patriots we do know will be there at End. It seems that Tom Brady and the Patriots are very upset. I can see them going 16-0 again. After

NFL Week 2 is in the Books | Nasser Erakatweek 1 we all were talking about certain teams. For example after week 1 we said that the 49ers look like they will make a run. The Baltimore Ravens, Seattle Seahawks, Philadelphia Eagles and Indianapolis Colts would not go 0-2 after week 2. The Oakland Raiders look like the same teams from years before. Will the Buffalo Bills make a push to win the division. The Dallas Cowboys will lose Tony Romero for at least 8 weeks. Are the New York Jets really going to be a force in the AFC East. So many uncertainties in the NFL this year. The Oakland Raiders were able to beat the Baltimore Ravens and put 37 point with a game winner touchdown from Derek Carr. The Raiders have player makers with A. Cooper and M. Crabtree.

Heroes & Villains: Peyton fans thrive, Rex stumbles

If Week 2 taught us anything, it was this: Week 1 taught us nothing.
Nothing, at least, that wasn't comprehensively blown to bits seven NFL Week 2 is in the Books | Nasser Erakatdays later. Chip Kelly's Philly offense was a corpse, Marcus Mariota isn't Dan Marino (not yet) and the SeahawksSaintsRavens,EaglesLions and Colts are all winless.
Nothing makes sense, all theories are moot and society is a mystery.
You know what that means: It's Heroes and Villains time:

Heroes

1. Peyton Manning Loyalists -- For Now: The game tape doesn't lie. Manning's arm strength is Colt McCoy-esque and his play is a shadow of yesteryear. Still, Denver's stunning comeback win over the Chiefs silenced the torch-and-pitchfork crowd for at least another week. Finally allowed to operate his up-tempo shotgun attack, Peyton looked like Peyton. It doesn't excuse the fluttering lobs, but Manning was at home again. You want to save Denver's season? Then it's time for coach Gary Kubiak to firebomb his rollout-based scheme, rescue Manning's old playbook from the blaze and make one final push for the Lombardi.
2. New England's Nameless Assassin: Why would any coach hand Bill Belichick even a syllable's worth of fodder for the Foxborough bulletin board? Not surprisingly, that's exactly what we got last week from Bills coach Rex Ryan, who completely dismissed running back Dion Lewis prior to Buffalo's clash with the Pats, saying: "I don't think we're gonna focus on that kid. I can't even tell you that kid's name." Full Article

Is your fan base trouble makers | Nasser Erakat

Why in sports do we always pick a certain few fan bases and call them the worst. As a long time Raiders fan I always heard Raiders fans are so bad and don't go

Once alcohol is involved it does not matter which team you root for, there will always be problems. You can look around the different fan bases. We all remember the Los Angeles Dodgers fans that beat up the San Francisco Giants fan in Baseball. Going to a Raiders game is very family friendly. The Philadelphia Eagles fans booed "Santa Clause", of course if was not the real Santa Clause.

Official: 49ers fans steal violent stereotype from Raiders fans

It wasn’t all that long ago that everyone in the world knew that Is your fan base trouble makers | Nasser ErakatOakland Raiders fans were the worst-behaved people on earth. That’s because Los Angeles Raiders fans were the worst-behaved people on earth, and before that Oakland Raiders fans were the worst-behaved people on earth.
And if you pile enough incidents in one easy-to-sort heap, you get a stereotype. The 49ers are now that team.
— Ray Ratto
So went the stereotype. For a good long while, the Raiders enjoyed the image – you fight us, you fight us all – and since many football fans typically need only a few drinks to believe any old martial crap they’re fed, those fans actually wanted to be part of the violent, stupid fun.
The crown (well, the garbage-bag hat), though, has been usurped by 49ers fans. They are now the worst by acclimation, and apparently getting worse by the day.
First, though, a disclaimer. Like any absolute statement, this is more wrong than right. Not all Raiders fans were violent intimidating brutes; most weren’t, in fact, but it only takes one idiot’s fist to hit you in the face for wearing the other team’s jersey while another is cheering him or her on to convince you. Denver TSA agents targeted 'attractive' passengers for pat-downs: authorities

The Transportation Security Administration has fired two screeners at Denver's international airport who schemed to conduct pat-down searches on attractive male passengers, officials said on Tuesday.
The sackings follow a number of controversies over the screening of passengers at U.S. airports since 2010, when the agency adopted heightened security measures including full body imaging and pat downs.

In November, a TSA employee tipped off the agency that a male screener at the airport told her he groped male passengers he found attractive, according to a Denver police report.
In response, a TSA investigator went to the airport in February and saw the screener signal to a female colleague when a certain male passenger entered the screening area, the police report said.
The woman colleague used a touchscreen system to categorize the passenger falsely as a female, which caused a scanning machine erroneously to detect an anomaly and trigger a pat-down of the passenger, the police report said.
The investigator watched as the male screener then used that opportunity to pat down the passenger's groin and buttocks, according to the police report.
The woman screener was later interviewed by the investigator and told him she had participated in the pat-down scheme at least 10 other times. Full Article

Washington (CNN)The Department of Homeland Security said Monday that the acting administrator for the Transportation Security Administration would be reassigned, following a report that airport screeners failed to detect explosives and weapons in nearly every test that an undercover team conducted at dozens of airports.

The electoral college select Candidate B, but you ask why? The people (Popular Vote) selected Candidate A. Yeah and for all of you who say," That will not happen." Look back at history and see it has happened and it happened with a Bush running for president. So Does it matter who you Vote for | Nasser Erakat

What is the Electoral College?

The Electoral College is a process, not a place. The founding fathers established it in the Constitution as a compromise between election of the President by a vote in Congress and election of the President by a popular vote of qualified citizens.
The Electoral College process consists of the selection of the electors, the meeting of the electors where they vote for President and Vice President, and the counting of the electoral votes by Congress.
The Electoral College consists of 538 electors. A majority of 270 Does it matter who you Vote for | Nasser Erakatelectoral votes is required to elect the President. Your state’s entitled allotment of electors equals the number of members in its Congressional delegation: one for each member in the House of Representatives plus two for your Senators. Read more about the allocation of electoral votes.
Under the 23rd Amendment of the Constitution, the District of Columbia is allocated 3 electors and treated like a state for purposes of the Electoral College. For this reason, in the following discussion, the word “state” also refers to the District of Columbia.
Each candidate running for President in your state has his or her own group of electors. The electors are generally chosen by the candidate’s political party, but state laws vary on how the electors are selected and what their responsibilities are. Does the Media Lie to Us | Nasser Erakat

Well of course they do. The society would be different if the media did not lie. Everyone always talks about Free press, there is no free press. The Media is told what to say and how to say it. The biggest way the media manipulates the news. For

Does the Media Lie Us | Nasser Erakatexample right now in the world we have terrorism which is a big problem. These people have no value for life. I have noticed that the media classified a terrorists as a person from the middle east and has a Islamic faith. So you don't believe, well look at any news article that has a criminal act committed.  If it is a person of the classified "Terrorists" profile then the Article reads, Terrorists strikes again. If it is a person that does not meet their classification, then the news Article reads, A Criminal Act was committed today. They could be both of the same kind of crime but one is classified as a criminal act and other a terrorists act. If the person who committed the crime is of middle eastern decent and says to the media this is not a terrorists act, the media says it is related to Terrorism. So Does the Media Lie to US | Nasser Erakat. You will just have to find out for yourself. It's not only related to this subject. Does the Media Lie to Us | Nasser Erakat

There is a pretty good video out on youtube called "OutFoxed" It talks about  Does the Media Lie to Us | Nasser ErakatRupert Murdoch, the owner at the time of FOX News.  It talks a lot about how FOX News sets up the news. Here are a few quotes from the video.
During the first few years that Murdoch's ownership of Fox's DC affiliate, he had a hands-off approach to new content; partially due to their success. One day orders came from Murdoch's offices that the network should cut away from their regularly scheduled program and broadcast the RNC's fawning tribute to Reagan: "we were ordered, from the top, to carry propaganda; Republican, right-wing propaganda". It foreshadowed what Fox News would later become.
Former Fox News reporters and bookers say that they are afraid to be seen "talking to the wrong people". Working for Fox meant you were constantly being monitored. It created a culture of fear. If you challenged the heads of the network On ideological matters, you were history.
Fox News went after Richard Clarke as soon as it was apparent that he was going to paint the Bush administration in a bad light. For Fox News, "mudding" arguments is almost as good as winning them. So, they didn't need to definitely prove that Clarke, a former member of the Bush Administration, was angling for a position in a Kerry White house, they just had to make it look like a possibility.
These are some of the stories from this video. It's pretty interesting and all I ask is watch it and make your own conclusion. Then you can answer the question, Does the Media Lie to US | Nasser Erakat. Thanks for reading.
